Day 2- Mitchell SD- A “Corny” title for a really “Corny” place!

See Below the Pics for news!

Hey everyone! We are now getting ready to depart from Mitchell SD! We had great performances in Yankton yesterday morning to a very receptive church. Some members got to go see the beautiful Lewis and Clark Lake with their host families, while some others saw beavers and even shot off a cannon (everyone still has all of their appendages!) The church served us a delicious lunch after two power packed sermons, and then we got on the road and traveled a few hours to Mitchell. Oh, and Scott Johnson, our New G website and technology person, showed up yesterday morning in South Dakota!

While in Mitchell, we stopped by and saw the famous "Corn Palace." Now, while some of us have seen some "corny" things in our time on the road, I think this landmark might take the cake.

The performance went well, and we even had an uninvited character in our audience… a bat! But thanks to the "bravery" of our own Scott Johnson and Ralph Herrman captured the bat and released it back into the wild. We then slept in the church (well, at least SOME of us slept, and then we loaded up the busses this morning, and are on our way to Mount Rushmore!!!

Editors Note: There might not be a post for day three, since we are spending the night in a church camp. But do not worry; the blog will be updated as soon as possible afterwards for your reading and viewing pleasure. Thanks for reading!

Signing off and God Bless,

The Blogmaster,

Brandt S.
